Varso Tower Observation Deck in Warsaw: A Postcard View of the City
Have you ever dreamed of seeing Warsaw from a bird’s-eye view? If so, a visit to the Varso Tower observation deck is a must. This 310-metre-tall skyscraper is the tallest building not only in Poland, but in the entire European Union.
The main terrace is located on the 53rd floor, around 230 metres above ground level, and offers a spectacular 360° view of the capital. Slightly lower, on the 49th floor, there is an additional viewing point surrounded by greenery. It’s a great spot to relax for a moment, with access to a restaurant and an equally stunning panorama of the city.
Importantly, the terrace is open all year round, so you can admire Warsaw in any season – both in summer and in winter. It’s a fantastic attraction for everyone, including families with children.
Panorama of Warsaw – what can you see from above?
The Varso Tower observation deck offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Warsaw. From this vantage point, the city’s most iconic landmarks are clearly visible – including the Palace of Culture and Science, PGE Narodowy, the national football stadium, and the PKO Rotunda, a distinctive circular bank building.
The city centre looks particularly impressive, with trams and cars constantly flowing around the Roman Dmowski Roundabout. In the distance, you can spot the Old Town with its characteristic red rooftops and church towers, as well as the winding Vistula River, crossed by numerous bridges.
The panorama also includes the modern skyscrapers of Wola, the area around Warszawa Główna station (which served as the city’s main railway station between 1945 and 1965), as well as the more distant districts of the capital. In good weather, the view stretches all the way to Żerań, where the distinctive red-and-white chimney of the combined heat and power plant stands out.
From above, you can also spot the grounds of the Warsaw Filters and the building of the Central Archives of Modern Records – places that are easy to overlook in everyday life, but from this height form an intriguing part of the urban landscape.
Practical information – how to plan your visit to Varso Tower
The entrance to Varso Tower is located at 69 Chmielna Street. It’s worth buying tickets for the observation deck online in advance – they are sold for specific time slots, which helps you avoid queues and plan your visit more efficiently.
Access to the terrace is via the building’s lobby, where you will find gates leading to the lift area. You need to take two lifts to reach the top, and the whole process is quick and well organised.
Visitors arriving by car can use the secure, paid underground car park located within the building, with access from Chmielna Street. Thanks to Varso Tower’s central location, it is also very easy to reach by public transport – details of connections can be found on the Warsaw Public Transport website.

The venue is accessible to people with disabilities; however, for technical reasons, access to the 53rd floor with wheelchairs may currently be limited.
